„where the east ends“ is a network and exhibition project planned by six art managers and curators from cultural institutions from Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe (CESE). The goal of the project is to explore and to show how young artists coming from CESE mirror and respond to the key socio-political changes of the past decade. The exhibition opens up questions and fields of work emerging from the specific socio-political structures and situations of the various countries of origin and makes the principles and results of artistic practices more transparent for the public. The exhibition will be accompanied by workshops and a panel discussion. A website and a publication will document the project and communicate it to a wider European audience.
