This book details the journeys of seven voluntary and community organisations from the south west of England. The publication explores the issues and challenges faced by institutions looking to generate income by trading goods and services.
The book reads like a travel log, following the paths taken by the seven participating organisations and outlining the main challenges they faced. The last chapter examines what the participants’ journeys could teach funders and policy-makers and what needs to be done to create a favourable environment for organisations looking to diversify their sources of income.
