Patrocinio

El patrocinio es una de las formas más habituales de promoción empresarial de la cultura. Generalmente financiado con el presupuesto de marketing y publicidad de una empresa, el patrocinio beneficia mutuamente al patrocinador y al patrocinado. El patrocinador espera aumentar sus beneficios futuros obteniendo una mayor visibilidad y clientela, una mayor cobertura mediática, así como beneficios fiscales u otro tipo de beneficios. Las organizaciones culturales también ganan: no sólo beneficios económicos, sino también prestaciones “en especie” y otros beneficios, incluida la mejora de sus capacidades empresariales y de comunicación.

Las asociaciones nacionales de patrocinio de las artes y del patrimonio ayudan en el proceso general de patrocinio ofreciendo asesoramiento, formación e información a las dos partes, pero sin ofrecer apoyo directo. En muchos de estos sitios se ofrece numerosa información que sirve de orientación sobre los procesos de patrocinio en Europa y fuera de Europa.
