Children's Heritage Interactive Models for Evolving Repositories (CHIMER)

(dic 2001)

The project develops schoolchildren's participation in the cultural heritage of their villages, towns and regions using an Open Evolving Multimedia Multilingual Digital Heritage Archive. Museologists and teachers provide general and scientific information, with children's creative input, to develop an application for Cultural Tourism. Experts and primary school teachers from the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Holland, Lithuania and Spain collaborate to support children's creativity in exploring new tools for creating digital content.
An open platform enhancing children's use of new media in order to create, search and modify networked information resources about cultural heritage. Children also are able to share, explore and exploit their local cultural heritage with children from other European countries.
