Cultural Forum for Europe

The Portuguese Presidency will organise a Cultural Forum for Europe on September 26 and 27, which aims at gathering representatives of civil society for a debate on what should be jointly achieved in this field, inside the EU and in the ambit of its international projection.

Participation in the Forum is intended to be as broad as possible, bringing to Lisbon cultural stakeholders from various areas of learning, activities, interests, and fields of thought. The proposed agenda follows very closely the suggestions contained in the Commission’s Communication, in order to allow discussion on their appropriateness and timeliness.
