
The Malta Arts Festival is proud to present a programme of workshops,
talks, demonstrations, and performances conducted and performed by
distinguished theatre people including: Phillip Zarilli and the Llanarth Group, and Eugenio Barba and Odin Teatret.
Phillip Zarilli and the Llanart Group
As part of a residency by The Llanarth Group and Phillip Zarrilli at the Malta Arts Festival 2012, the company will present ‘Making The Body All Eyes’ an intensive workshop on psychophysical training process applied to structured improvisations and performance problems of Samuel Beckett’s plays conducted by Phillip Zarrilli, The Beckett Project consisting of performances of Beckett plays by The Llanarth Group, and a day-long Beckett Symposium.
Eugenio Barba and Odin Teatret
Odin Teatret's 47 years as a laboratory have resulted in the growth of a professional and scholarly milieu characterised by cross-disciplinary endeavours and international collaboration. Over the period of half a century the company led by Italian theatre maker Eugenio Barba has so far created 74 performances, performed in 63 countries and different social contexts. In Malta Odin Teatret will present their latest group performance The Chronic Life and a work demonstration On Dramaturgy conducted by Eugenio Barba with Odin Teatret actress Julia Varley.

Entrance for performances with these packages is reserved for 2nd July for The Chronic Life, 5th and 7th July for the Beckett Project.
