Young Algerian Fictions

A writing workshop of short film scripts for young Algerian scriptwriters in three phases June-September 2005. Young scriptwriters attend workshops within the film festival “Rencontres Cinématographiques de Béjaïa" and follow up with on-line writing sessions with young professionals working in European cinema. The project concludes with a one-week workshop in Algiers where participants and trainers meet to finalise short-film scripts and view films and documentaries from Europe and Algeria.

Características principales

The project aims to support the emergence of script writing in Algeria and promote collaboration between French-speaking European and young Algerian professionals. It provides technical tools and support for script-writers and, in future, hopes to support the production of short films. It seeks to contribute to the creation and circulation of new images in Algeria.
