
Mariangela is a lecturer at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
She has over 10 years of professional and academic experience as a consultant, lecturer and researcher. She has provided consultancy and research services for government authorities, foundations and organizations in Europe. Her research interests concern issues related to cultural and creative industries (CCI), urban (re)development, urban regeneration and policy.
From 2006 until 2010 she was post-doc researcher at Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research ( AISSR) - University of Amsterdam (UvA) within the project PLACES AND THEIR CULTURE. The evolution of Dutch cultural industries from an international perspective, 1600-2000. She received a PhD in Communication Economics from IULM University in Milan, a MSc in Urban Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a BA/MSc in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan.
