As part of the preparations for the 4th World Summit on Arts and Culture in September 2009, the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA) wants to open up a discussion with its international network on the claim that intercultural dialogue has become a new priority for arts and cultural policy makers around the world.

Several questions arise:

  • What does intercultural dialogue mean?
  • Is it really a priority in your country?
  • What kind of policies or programmes can arts and cultural policy actors develop to promote intercultural dialogue?
  • What are the main challenges of national arts funding agencies in addressing intercultural dialogue from a policy or programme point of view?
  • What questions do you have?

A discussion paper has been released in PDF. More information can be found on IFACCA's dedicated online space.
