Analysis of the performing arts field, practices and policies, in Flanders and Brussels in the international context since 1993. With the increase in interdisciplinary productions that maintain casual relationships with freelance artists and co-producers at home and abroad, performing artists, stage organisations and policy-makers are being forced to adjust and redefine their positions. This book, published by the Flemish Theater Institute (VTi), formulates these main challenges for the field and for cultural policies.
