The International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) documentation section is a rich source of policy, techniques and other documents concerning the built cultural heritage, its conservation and restoration. Created in 1965, at the initiative of UNESCO, it includes an online database containing nearly 30,000 bibliographical references, and downloadable charters and other research material.
