The aim of this study, commissioned by the European Commission, DG Employment and Social Affairs, has been to identify new strategies to exploit the employement potential of the cultural sector in the European Union. Following a particular definition ("TIMES" Sector), which includes many non-cultural professions, it gives an overview of current research on employment patterns, identifies current trends and obstacles to transnational and cross-border mobility, and compiles a collection of good practices in training provisions.
