This programme gives the opportunity for the awarded cities to improve their image and develop their culture and tourism activities and resources. ECOC´s targets have been enlarging throughout the years and currently it aims at going beyond the time scale and the city limits and encouraging long-term impact on cultural development of cities and surroundings.
