The proposed conceptual framework of the report addresses issues such as intercultural education; leisure activities; cultural trends in the major consumer markets; local knowledge and biodiversity; the future of languages; new technologies and new methods of conservation; new forms of "standardized" diversity; the "patching" of identities; and the importance of a cultural approach to science teaching social inclusion, governance, international mobilization for the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals, etc. An advisory committee of experts and a board of governors have been established to oversee the report. It is expected to be published in time for World Cultural Diversity Day, May 2008.
