Information Systems to Support the Mobility of Artists and Other Professionals in the Culture Field: a feasibility study

Author: Lidia Varbanova - Date: 10 jun 2009, 09:44

The study aims to provide an overview of existing information systems on the different legal, regulatory, procedural, fiscal and financial aspects regarding the transnational mobility of cultural workers in the 27 EU member states and the three European Economic Area (EEA)/European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries.

The study aims to identify gaps in the functioning of existing information systems and to make recommendations for remedies to fill these gaps. It considers the enormous difficulties that exist when artists and other cultural professionals seek to move across the borders of the EU (and also when nationals of third countries seek to enter and move around within EU countries).
