The European Commission sets the scene for the EU cultural policy strategy and working methods and mainstreams culture in all relevant policies.
It is founded on three sets of objectives: cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue; culture as a catalyst for creativity; and culture as a key component in international relations. In order to implement this agenda, the EC puts forward a structured dialogue with the culture sector and fosters cooperation among Member States in this area.
