Defining and Mapping Intangible Cultural Heritage (IFACCA)

Author: Lidia Varbanova - Date: 01 feb 2010, 10:34

This report summarises the outcome of the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA)’s 36th D’Art question on approaches to mapping and defining intangible cultural heritage (ICH).

The D’Art was initiated by Museums Galleries Scotland and the Scottish Arts Council as a preliminary study of the issues, both theoretical and practical, in making an inventory of ICH in Scotland in conformity with the UNESCO Convention on Intangible Cultural Heritage.
