Agenda 21 for Culture in France: State of Affairs and Outlook

Author: Lidia Varbanova - Date: 13 may 2009, 14:19

This report is based on research focusing on ten French local governments close to United Cities and Local Governments, and Agenda 21 for Culture.

The research was supervised by one of the leading researchers in cultural policies in France, Professor Philippe Teillet, and received key support from the French Observatoire des Politiques Culturelles.

The report reveals that Agenda 21 for Culture has been received with hope, as it promotes both cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue. It requires joint implementation with local civil society and it fosters alliances with cities all around the world.
