An art school with no curriculum, it offers a framework to support autodidactic activities. The curriculum emerges based on the proposals put forward by members of the public.
The Public School is initiated by Telic Arts Exchange, a non-profit organisation based in Los Angeles, USA. It works to support social exchange, interactivity and public participation and offers a place for the public to engage with new media and culture. As of 2009, The Public School has also been set up in Europe: in Paris, Brussels, Berlin and Helsinki.
