Lithuanian polyphonic sutartinès songs have a unique feel: unruly and unpolished, they impress with their solemn, beseeching tone. These traditional 16th century songs are performed as part of a sedate choreography. Sutartinės, Lithuanian multipart songs were included in 2008 in the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage Values.
