I am a director, playwright and performance tutor (specialising in acting and vocal techniques) currently working as the Director of NECDAF Intercultural Arts in North East England.
I moved to Newcastle upon Tyne in 2003 to work as Acting Community Sector Liaison for the Strategy and Development Team at the Regional Development Agency ONE NorthEast after over twenty years of community arts development work in South East London. I was seconded to the North East Regional Museums Hub where I developed and raised funds for a Regional Training Strategy for traditional craft skills
I have been a youth outreach worker at the Albany Empire in Deptford, Coordinator of the Black Theatre Forum, Chief Executive of the Actors Centre, Administrator for Talawa Theatre Company before running my second nightclub and working as a freelance capacity-builder and fund-raiser for a number of South East London voluntary sector organisations.
