Todays first panel was a presentation from the Nordic working group on cultural complexity and co-existence.

Shanti Brahmachari from Norsk Skuespillercenter particularly caught my attention as a no-nonsense-let's-get-the-facts-straight kind of person.

She talks mainly about developing new indicators for measuring diversity and what the challenges are in that area. As I'm a fan big fan of measurements of representation I had a chat with Shanti after the session.

My experience is that there is a great deal of resistance to measuring diversity as a means of increasing diversity. There's a whole set of arguments for why measuring diversity is bad that'll come rolling out as soon as you breach the idea. I wanted to know what Shantis experience about that was.

As you'll hear her answer was quite succinct :)
