Friday afternoon links: Iranian kidney sale (video) and Varnelis's (article) on network culture

Saw this on the Guardian today: selected video treats of movies buried online! Yes, you can view movies on You Tube and whilst some of them look like they are supposed to be buried, some are a good find. (The image quality seems a bit patchy though.) Scroll down the article to find the top ten movies selected with their link! After watching the The Iranian Kidney Sale trailer I will be watching the movie this weekend on You Tube.

Less like a Friday afternoon is Kazys Varnelis article on the “The meaning of networked culture”. He questions: “Whereas in postmodernism, being was left in a fabric of emotional intensities, today the self is affirmed through the net. What does this mean for the democratic public sphere?” Great piece on Eurozine.
