The evolution of the arts and the cultural dimensions of the arts in development motivate me as a cultural manager in Africa.
I currently work at Kwani Trust www.kwani.org as the Marketing Officer . Kwani Trust is a Kenyan based literary network . Prior to Kwani I worked with performing artists in dance, acrobatics and music at Sarakasi Trust www.sarakasi.org
Over the years, I have been able to witness the vital role played by the Arts e.g enhancing social economic development of various communities through cultural enterprenurship , dialogue and empowerment.
I have Post Graduate training in Culture, Sexuality and Society from University of Amsterdam, NL and BSC hons Degree from Kenyatta University, Nairobi Kenya. I have also participated in various cultural events and stakeholders forums locally and internationally relating to the Arts.
My intersts in Cultural Policy are in promoting the Creative Industries, Culture and Development and Cultural Diversity.
On the side I also have a passion for youth and community devlopment and am currently a wolunteer with American Women Association Kenyan Chapter www.awakenya.org
