The concluding part of the Adriatic Region in focus brings our attention to Albania, Italy and Montenegro. The new feature examines the historical and cultural conditions of collaborative working across the region from three viewpoints: an in-depth conversation, a photographic collection and a comprehensive mapping of artistic organisations.

Moderated by Eriola Pira, the conversation viewpoint invites the Albanian columnist, Ardian Vehbiu and Italian artist, Stefano Romano to explore the current scene in cross border collaboration between Italy and Albania. The mapping highlights those working within the region and engaged in cross border activities and is vividly illustrated by the up and coming photographer Bevis Fusha, based in Tirana, Albania. The organisations mapped work across all cultural sectors. Daniela Maffeo, from ReKult, produced the mapping for Italy, Maja Popovic for Montenegro and for Albania, Adela Demetja, who also coordinated the conversational viewpoint.

The Region in focus, Adriatic Euroregion was co-ordinated by Ruggero Lala. He says: “I have a personal connection to the region and having been involved in orchestrating many cross border events, I am pleased to bring together these views and ideas from a fresh perspective and in a fresh way.”
