the masses’.

The Fabulous Penetrators: Uno spaventoso mix di Rck’n’roll dolce, brillante e spacca-orecchie.
Sono recensiti come gruppo “Da non Perdere” da The Guardian e sono descritti da Rough Trade come “pure psych-garage, 1960's shing-a-ling explosion with the raw sex of The Sonics, growling gruffness of Howlin' Wolf and dress-spinning twists of what is simply the best party soundtrack since 1968.”

Deadmen or Poltergeist?

honeybird & the birdies is an eclectic trio formed in 2007 by three experimental musicians in Rome. They play, sing and perform honeybird songs using instruments, rhythms and energies from around the world.
honeybird & the birdies are sweet like honey and quirky like birds!
honeybird & the birdies are: honeybird charango, guitar, berimbau & vocals was born and raised in Los Angeles. She heard music from an early age as her Italian father strummed and sang Mediterranean melodies and her New Yorker mother kvetched in yiddish. Her passion for creating music began at the age of 3 sitting on an upright piano then embracing the upright bass, until one day the guitar took center stage and she began writing honeybird songs. In 2003 she visited Bolivia which had a powerful impact on her life – both as a cultural and social eye-opener – and that is where she found her first charango, a 10-string traditional Andean instrument, which inspired new honeybird songs such as “shrinking mind”. Her travels in Latin America and contact with social issues, capoeira and indigenous communities are very present in what she does. honeybird writes sings and dreams about pachamama, justice and the colorful cultures of our world - from mapuche to raramuri, japanese to quechua, italian to iraqi, brazilian to nahuatl. her music sings praise for those who have courage and aren't afraid of standing up and speaking what they believe and feel. p-birdie percussion, balafon, snare, kalimba, flute & vocals was born and raised in Sicily, and moved to Rome in 2006 to study singing. Her first contact with music was with the flute, she was called the "magic pied piper" for how well she played and for her enchanging rhythyms. In her hometown of Catania, she was drummer in an all girls band called "le zero in condotta". She is currently in music conservatory and enjoys great delight in singing and playing a wide array of percussion instruments, snare, flute, kalimba and much more in the world of honeybird.
ginobird bass & vocals (Gino Guain) comes from Anzio in the south of Rome where he plays bass, sleeps infrequently and loses at poker.

The Fabulous Penetrators: A fearsome mix of sweat, glitter and ear rupturing rock'n'roll, East London based international five-piece The Fabulous Penetrators formed in late 2006 from the ashes of their 50's vaudevillian act, Paloma and The Penetrators. May 2010 sees the release of their long-awaited debut album 'With Love', finally bringing a touch of their live energy onto plastic.
A contrary concoction of post-modern attitude and honest rock’n’roll is at the core of their live performance - Leigh Bowery meets Captain Beefheart at first glance. Yet direct in the influences from the speakers - The Sonics, Sam & Dave, The Cramps, Little Richard, ZZ Top with the stage stylings of early Roxy Music. They are far away from any commercial establishment out there right now, shunning indie dullards for the fearsome blues and sleazy swagger of the 50s and 60s.
While frontman Liam Casey may spend more time searching for weird and wonderful stage costumes than on intelligible lyrics, his rhythmic, scowling delivery is the perfect match for the psycho blues riffs laid down. Add to this a penchant for extreme eye make-up, gorilla suits and mariachi outfits, he is the definitive front man who wants to be seen. Vocal duties are shared with Parisian bassist Clement C-Coulom and guitarist Steve Lowe, with former guitarist John Robinson fronting two songs on the album. Clement’s vocal on 'Catching Up On Me' or 'Charlie' reveals his love of all things Little Richard, with whoops that would make the Georgia Peach proud. Guitarists Crispin Weir and Lowe's greaser haircuts maybe similar, but Crispin’s lightning-fast, vibrato-enriched style is more legendary blues man Lonnie Mack to Steve’s Fred Sonic Smith (MC5). This leaves Portuguese João Felizardo who beats skins like the ultimate heavy metal drummer, Dave Lombardo (Slayer) as well as providing backing vocals, unlike Dave Lombardo.
The Penetrators work hard to ensure every show an event in itself. They run their own night, Saturday Night Beaver at venues such as The Bethnal Green Workingmen’s Club, Notting Hill Arts Club and The Macbeth. Since 2006 it has packed these venues with people eager to escape London’s less inspiring live scene. It was in fact a trip to Saturday Night Beaver that resulted in their being snapped up by their eventual recording home Stag-O-Lee Records, part of Glitterhouse. Other live highlights include New Years Eve 2008 where they played 4 shows in 4 corners of London. Their 2009 tour of Spain ended playing at a brothel. Seeing The Fabulous Penetrators billed at the home of prostitutes apparently amused the promoter. Festivals welcome them with open arms: Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, Standon Calling and Shambala are already under their belts. At Glastonbury 2007, their 4am show was the “lustiest set of the festival” according to The Guardian’s report. And to show this was no fluke, in 2008 the Guardian, again, included an interview with the band in their G2 review - the only unsigned band to feature. Their four performances at Standon Calling, are now very much a part of Britain’s best boutique festival.
Their sound was described by Rough Trade as “pure psych-garage, 1960's shing-a-ling explosion with the raw sex of The Sonics, growling gruffness of Howlin' Wolf and dress-spinning twists of what is simply the best party soundtrack since 1968.” Highlights from their self-produced album include debut single, 'The Hump', a primitive blues pounder, follow up 'Send In The Clones' with its Ian Dury like take on a true garage riff, and the driving beat of 'Catching Up On Me'. The Fabulous Penetrators’ 'With Love' is bound to bring sweat and glitter to your stereo in May 2010.

Deadmen Or Poltergeist? New band revelation? Or will be only comets, one-shot-wonder? Obviously when you listen a group like that is one of the questions that comes out immediately. This band (ex Cerchi nel Grano) with curious name ( i imagine them like psichedelic fans of trash culture and extremist Beatles-influenced).
Delicate like the absolutly original voice of the band, childy but not cheesy, perfectly according with the melodies. They don’t forget anything, like Danish bands such Efterlang or Mew, melodie maximalist: orchestration loud.
The sound of Deadmen or Poltergiest is not banal, radio-friendly at his best. Seems like a joke but it isn’t, suddenly it becomes rude, aggressive and complete.
Bitter-sweet like a punch in your stomach.

The Nu Niles began their career as a pure no-frills rockabilly band at a time when it was a totally anti-fashion place to be and probably the most underground thing going on musically. The band has always kept a hold of those roots and still contains the basic ingredients of Rockabilly, Rock’n’Roll, Surf, Punk and Ska, throwing in some TexMex or Spaghetti Western theme references for good measure, all of which produces a cocktail of original, not to say unique, vintage.
The band is made up of Mario Cobo (guitar and vocals), Ivan Kovacevic (double bass) and Blas Picón (drums).
The Nu Niles have played more than ten European tours, two on the U.S. West Coast and pretty much all the prestigious Rockabilly / Rock’n’Roll festivals in the world as well as producing four LPs, each one pushing back the barriers further and further, but still staying true to good, good rockin’.
The Nu Niles are currently working on their next LP, their first all-Spanish record, which they’ll be taking around the world on tour through 2009. Discography

The Hermelin: Talking about Hermelin means talking about new german rock. What rock was about and what it will be about. Those who have seen them on stage know that they are at ease in the past and the future, moving forward or rewinding, playing homage to the classics or disguising themselves as enthusiastic art-rockers with their dissonance and distortion. In a couple of years, the Hannover band has had the time to stoke up the embers of alternative rock, to imagine what the Nirvana crossed with Sonic Youth would sound like, to specialise in ballads with and even more difficult to include all of these elements in just a few songs. They have just began and at the same time have become one of the greatest new young alternative bands in germany.

LUCA: His professional career started in 1996 when he met Marco Passarani from Nature records and together they decided to start a series of projects: releases, radio-show and organization of parties. At the beginning the first musical project was called MAT101 and it was realized with Mario Pierro (aka Raiders Of The Lost ARP) and Emiliano Tortora who lately decided to split from the band. They've released an album and a couple of singles that helped them to become popular in the electronic underground movement. So far they've collected many live performances, many tracks on compilations and remixes using the name MAT101. After 3 years MAT101 decided to start another project called JOLLY MUSIC: While MAT101 is more electro oriented, JOLLY MUSIC is more into psychedelic disco and electroacoustic soul. The first track came out on a FINALFRONTIER 12" sampler with tracks from the rest of the NATURE RECORDS crew and it did get the attention of the most respected underground crews. Then a couple of singles came out in order to anticipate the full lenght album called Jolly Bar. As soon as the album came out the reaction from the press was very strong: from England to Italy, from Japan to Germany the specialized magazine where shouting like one of the most original record of the year. After a short while Nature records licensed this album to Sony UK, and even if the end of the story was pretty sad, with the major label not releasing the album, the duo had the chance to experience a great adventure working with some very talented singers (such as Erlend Oye from Kings of Convenience and Sonya Madden from Echobelly) and producers (such as Steve Dub of Chemical Brothers and New Order fame). Meanwhile the Jolly guys have been touring for promotion some clubs in the UK (The End, Heaven, the Bugged out nights in Manchester and Glasgow) and they've added two big names in the remix field of their bio: Jamiroquai (accepted by the artist, but never released by the label) and Garbage. He is one of the most eclectic dance artist that have been working in the italian scene, especially because of his fresh and quircky sound made of italodisco, funk and old school chicago house: so many djs from italy and europe have noticed his music just after the release of his first two solo records, Salvation / Pigna 002 and Fregna / Pigna 005. Francisco's music has been featured on many compilations like the one mixed by Dr. Electroluv or the ones issued by the famous british dance magazines Jockey Slut and Dj Magazine. Francisco is ready now to step ahead introducing his new works with an upcoming single on Nature called "Moon Roller" followed then by a full lenght album called "Music Business", and both works will show that he represents the heritage of the purest italo disco. His show is made of humor and groove, all based on a perfect mixing tecnique that has been acknowledged during the many experiences on the road thanks to his previous projects such as Mat101 and Jollymusic.

AlanOne: Alan1 is a young talented new artist from Rome. His obsession for fucked up funk and electro beats makes him the freshest producer in Rome at the moment, and Nature records his proud to announce his debut on the label later on in 2007.Rollerball enigma and silhouetted man-on-the-mic Alan one is one of the most enigmatic and charismatic figures that electro music ever bred. Despite his refusal to give interviews and play the press-and-promo game, Raffaele’s voice has been clearly amongst the loudest, when it comes to preserving the rich heritage of Italian-disco music, while fighting the music industry powers that be.Blessed with an immaculate way of sampling, he takes stems from disco and techno, and respectfully takes them onto the next level. You can't kick this feeling when it hits!

Ad Bourke: Sometimes it doesn’t take more than a little flourish of echo, that one little wah stab on the guitar or a neat little squeak from a synth to make a beat stand out – just check AD’s new EP on Citinite for proof. If you get a whole tape bristling with moments like these, gracefully dancing through an abundance of ideas while never losing touch with the groove – then you have something special indeed. Something like the tape that got the half British, half Italian producer AD Bourke his first release on Domu’s Treble-O Records. If you’re left with any doubts, this synth wizard won’t hesitate to unleash his magical madness in a live setting. Your puzzled ears will have you believe you’re seeing neon fireworks.
