From May 22-26, 2008, LabforCulture will be attending, participating in, and blogging from the XIII Edition of the Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean, to be held in Puglia, Italy from 22nd to 31st May 2008.
LabforCulture, in cooperation with BJCEM, has organised a workshop to be held on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 16:00. It will feature the participation of Taylor Nuttall from folly (UK) and Alessandro Ludovico from Neural.it (IT), as well as LabforCulture.org.
This session will be a practical guide providing inspirational examples of ways participants can work together and create with the help of these tools (including free and open source software of all kinds, social networks, wikis, blogs, etc.). Participants will be actively encouraged to share their own experiences, perspectives and questions. Interested participants are requested to make a reservation at the Meeting Point.
Nicola Mullenger from LabforCulture will also be participating on a panel on Friday, May 23, 2008 on artist mobility, alongside Luigi Ratclif (Italy), Fiorenzo Alfieri (Italy), Erminia Sciacchitano (Italy), Patrice Bonaffé (France) and Marijke Jansen (NL).
The main protagonists of international programs will give life to a discussion on tools for supporting and promoting the mobility of young artists all over the world. The debate will be an opportunity to compare various experiences and to enhance relations and contacts starting from the issues of operators of this field and of new talented people.
