All participants are very willing to talk and share theirs observations. I met Mr. Reinhard Auer from Vienna just before first session. During a nice chat he said that this kind of conferences are very useful and necessary. He also underlined that this event is a part of the process of “being together”, that culture can’t communicate by itself. It needs people who would discuss the most important issues.
Hilde De Brandt, from Culture Lokaal (Flemish Community) came to this conference with a hope she would find an inspiration for her work. She emphasized that cultural organizations from the smaller towns should also have an access to the discussions on the European level. This conference gave her a feeling that all countries think about the same thing, have the same goals.
I caught Ilona Kish directly after the session which she was moderating. She said that all people who work in the cultural sector need mobilization. It is important to find an energy for cooperation.
I hope that all participants, in spite of tight schedule, found this energy for future and will not forget all these issues which were discussed in Warsaw.
