folly , folly , 05 oct 2007

***1st podcast available now at www.folly.co.uk/artcast ***

ArtCast is folly's new ongoing series of podcasting programmes - a platform for public access to new and innovative sound art.

The launch of ArtCast coincides with VELOCITY - www.folly.co.uk/velocity - a stunning new arts festival along the coastal rail route around Morecambe Bay in England's North West. folly invited Sonic Arts Network - www.sonicartsnetwork.org - to join us in the selection of podcasts from an international open call. Hear submissions from artists working with sound, experimental musicians and composers, writers and performance artists, both locally and from across the world.

The podcasts, chosen to complement the VELOCITY experience, can be downloaded to your mp3 player and enjoyed during train journeys around the Morecambe Bay area, from the comfort of your own home, or at any other location in the world.

A new edition will be released every Thursday for 7 weeks from the 4th of October.

folly is a leading digital arts organisation working in Cumbria, Lancashire and online.
