A non-profit arts organisation that is working to facilitate an increased role for artists in generating awareness and action on climate change. A key aim of Carbon Arts is open conversation between the arts, economics, science and technology.
CA was started by an environmental economist (Jodi Newcombe), a film-maker and media producer (Oliver Clifton), a creative producer (Sue McCauley) and a visual artist and technical designer (Keith Deverell). It is through this diversity and openness of dialogue between disciplines that the organisation aims to progress the role of the arts in the greater climate change agenda. This website is a contribution to the knowledge base on activities around the world relating to art and climate change.
