A global, collaborative art and design project in which cultural institutions worldwide are invited to make an artificial tree together with artists, designers, students and other creative people.
Each tree adds to a worldwide artificial forest that grows virtually on the website. All tree-making activities are supported by local research and lectures on foresting and deforestation. The project brings together sustainable awareness and creativity and was launched by two Dutch cultural entrepreneurs, as a creative response to supporting the UN International Year of Forests 2011.
