A community-oriented residency in Mexico for artists from different disciplines, as well as scientists, educators and activists, founded by Mexican artist and curator Alicia Marván.
It aims to foster socially and ecologically conscious cultural development in the area where the Guapamacátaro hacienda is located (in Michoacán, Mexico). The hacienda grounds serve as a laboratory for the creative process and participants engage with the local community in art, ecology and development practices.
The three week residency takes place in winter/spring. The participants come from various disciplines: performing arts, visual arts, sculpture and installation, design and architecture, humanities and social sciences, and natural sciences.
