An exhibition that provided a platform for artists in Philadelphia, USA, to express their creativity as they gave visual form to the many ramifications of climate change. On view from October–November 2008, this major sculpture exhibition took place in the perfect setting – the Icebox Project Space in Philadelphia’s Crane Arts Building.

International artists joined local and regional sculptors as they moulded provocative ideas into unique, tangible forms. Through the creation of interactive works, multimedia installations and object-based sculptures, artists engaged the public in exploring creative ways of revealing, understanding and working to solve the problems created by this looming threat to our planet.

Visitors to the Icebox were able to see cutting-edge art, much of it specifically created for this exhibition. The invited artists all received critical acclaim for their contributions to environmental and social art.
