PHODAR BIENNIAL 2011
RULES
1. PHODAR Foundation organizes the Seventh PHODAR Biennial. The theme is CONTEMPORARY MYTHS.
Humankind has always strived for the ideal, the absolute. The "real" consequence of this is the idealization and mythologization of people, events, processes, doctrines. Photography, which is essentially documentary, is expected to debunk myths, rather than create them, but … it is only a means. There might be many different points of view on this theme. We are waiting for yours! The Salon is open to photographers from all over the world.
2. We accept monochrome and colour photographs in TIFF or JPEG format with minimal compression, the shorter side of which has at least 2365 dpi (Color Profile: Adobe RGB (1998)). All photographs should be sent on a CD or DVD and should be accompanied by a short explanatory note containing: title of each photograph, year taken, a photo and CV of the photographer. Works which appeared in previous editions of the Salon will not be reviewed. The Biennial also accepts installations, in which the main source of information is a photographic image.
3. All files are to be named as follows: the first letter should refer to a competition category (A for Category 1, B for the Second Category and C for Category Three), then a two-digit number should be added (e.g. 01, 02, etc.)
4. Works are to be sent as registered parcels with no declared value to the following address:
P.O. Box 55, 1510 Sofia, BULGARIA
