UNITY FESTIVAL IN ALCALA 2009

The Unity festival event in Madrid is produced and directed by Christopher Umoebit, in collaboration with Ayuntamiento de He --- Association Africa Heritage, present the second edition of the Unity Festival in Madrid.
It is a grand event for African immigrants and their counterparts in Madrid, an occasion not to miss for the city to know about our cultural and tourism potentials and let itself go, getting lost in the enthusiasm of African vibes having its roots in the sounds and rhythms of Africa and affirmed its presence in Madrid and the environs as cultural emancipation, equally joyful and irresistible. For some time now, one has witnessed a veritable phenomenon tied to African music given the interest and enthusiasm it rouses not only in the public but in those who have chosen to make it their profession and life's pursuit. Even more than just entertainment, in which African music has always been considered traditional; the quality of the events, seminars, exhibition, workshops and performances will have a unique impact in the life of the people.
The Unity Festival will offer to a wide and varied public the chance to experience our rich art and cultural heritage, to feel its communicative powers and to be moved by it. This second edition of the Festival will join the ranks as one of many festivals that take place every year in other part of the world. We have had the honour to invite professional artiste and performers, church choirs and groups to participate in the event. For the second time, however, it is A-Heritage Association, Junta Distrito 11, Ayuntamiento de Alcala de Henares that will host the Unity Festival that will be carried out in one week of June and July 2009 with a programme that is rich in initiatives and participation on both the national and international level.
