Considerations in Contemporary Performance

Lucia Blash | 24 Sep 2012, 16:50

A balsy, thought-provoking debate led by internationally-acclaimed choreographer Charlotte Vincent with a panel of established and emerging female artists to discuss the politics and issues involved in making contemporary performance work. How do we sustain our practice over the span of a career? What part does gender politics play in our work? Is there a glass ceiling in the dance world? How do performing artists combine work life and family life? How does the public view mature female performers? How do we get our voices heard?

Taking part at The Point in Eastleigh, UK, on Tuesday, October 9 from 4pm to 7pm.

Tickets to the symposium are £10 and includes your ticket to see Vincent Dance Theatre's eagerly-anticipated new work Motherland at The Point on October 11.
