Day 1: FP7-Financial Management and Reporting

This course gives you the full picture of financial issues of FP7 projects explaining all topics related to financial management and reporting  based on the experience we gained since the launch of FP7.

• This 1-day training course is  built-on 100% project experience and real-life examples. The lecturers and workshop leaders are flesh-and-blood financial managers, whose daily work is to prepare financial reports and control budgets, to manage project spendings and to assist our project partners in their financial management.

• We have helped almost 1000 financial managers and project personnel over the years in understanding the FP7 financial rules and to exercise financial reporting!

Day 2: EC Financial Audits - Get prepared for the inevitable!

EC Audits in Theory
Briefing of the auditors - participants will be trained how to conduct an EC financial audit in FP7 projects. Financial rules and bottlenecks, tricks and mistakes to focus on will be introduced.

Workshop on EC Audits
You'll become an EC auditor for a day! Participants in small groups have to perform an EC Audit based on the documentation provided by us. Project reports, FORM Cs, invoices and cost certificates, time-sheets and mission reports will be provided with hidden mistakes - the ultimate goal is to spot all the errors and mistakes.

Analysis of the Workshop
Based on the Draft Audit Reports completed by the participants during the Workshop, the findings will be analysed and conclusions will be drawn.

EC Audits in Practice
Step-by-step introduction and analysis of a real FP7 project audit. How it starts, documents to prepare, strategies to follow and mistakes not to make - all based on real case studies.
