A cultural non-governmental organisation that aims to contribute to the development of a new culture based on the use and expansion of electronic media in Peru and Latin America.
ATA deals with the relations between art, science and technology, and how technology changes our lives. It runs a residency programme, ESCUELAB, where young creators, theorists and activists explore and develop experimental ideas about creating a bridge between technology and society. Residents come from the Andes, Central America and the Caribbean. ATA also carries out research on art and technology in Latin America and runs an independent centre that offers technical facilities for young, experimental creators. Exhibitions and festivals are organised to raise media art awareness.
