The foundation's activities follow three main threads: 1) Art and Cultural Exchange, which focuses both on the promotion of Japanese culture abroad and the introduction of the cultures and arts of other nations to Japan, undertaking programmes involving international collaboration in culture and arts; 2) Japanese language education overseas; and, 3) Japanese studies overseas and intellectual exchange.
