An observatory for cultural governance and a platform for information exchange on culture, as well as cultural and natural heritage.

The Council of Europe's CultureWatchEurope Platform promotes culture as "the soul of democracy" by offering an innovative and evidence-based understanding of culture, heritage and media developments in Europe.

CultureWatchEurope:

generates, improves and follows-up policy standards in the culture, heritage and media fields,
provides online information through joint access to the Council of Europe’s electronic information tools,
enables rapid consultation of key cultural data,
offers a platform for creative exchange and synergy,
contributes to prospective analysis and forward thinking.
