Aims to bridge gaps across the borders in the Barents Region, and to contribute to the development of the town of Kirkenes in Norway and the surrounding border areas with Russia, Sweden and Finland. Facilitates collaboration and connections between arts organisers, artists from different disciplines and other individuals/experts from the Barents Region and internationally. Explores borders and the socio-political situation of the area. Main activities are the Barents Spektakel Festival (annual), the Barents Art Triennial and a residency programme (on irregular basis).
