A grassroots organisation supported by the city of Reykjavik and member groups, which are a driving force in promoting new playwriting in Iceland and take an innovative approach to staging theatre and dance. Around 250,000 people attend the performances every year in Iceland and abroad, a huge achievement in a country with a total population of just 300,000.
