An organisation initiated by an umbrella organisation of societies, in partnership with governmental and private funds. It aims to bring together the disparate strands of Iceland’s eclectic music scene.
IMX strives to increase the visibility of Icelandic music in the international sphere and to provide an essential one-stop resource for all interested parties. It offers information about artists, collaborates with companies to promote Icelandic music abroad, organises marketing strategies and helps Icelandic bands and record labels to participate in festivals and events around the world.
