Promotes and develops cultural and economic life in Finland. Provides grants to individuals and groups working in the arts, culture and science, and to people and organisations in other fields of cultural life. The foundation also seeks to facilitate sizable cultural projects by supporting them with substantial grants. The foundation also organises cultural activities, arranges courses, lectures and events promoting Finnish cultural life, and maintains an art collection.
