A non-profit association run by visual artists in Hyrynsalmi, Finland. It preserves natural and cultural diversity by bringing together art, science and society through discussions, seminars, artist-in-residence programmes, exhibitions and events.
The association offers an environment for new ways of thinking and cooperating and supports topical and unconventional views of nature and cultural traditions. It cooperates with national and international art institutions and communities.
With a strong focus on eco-friendly solutions, the Mustarinda-building is powered by geo-thermal and wind power. Mustarinda belongs to the international ECEAT-organisation (European Centre for Ecological and Agricultural Tourism).
