A multidisciplinary institution that organises exhibitions, music, dance as well as courses and debates dedicated to cities and social concepts. Part of the city of Barcelona's strategic plan for urban regeneration, the CCCB belongs to a new cultural area, which also includes the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Opera House del Liceu. As well as promoting artistic practice, it aims to deepen understanding of cultural or urban studies and to encourage debate about the social situation in this area.
