Created in 1988 by a group of citizens, Gesto is cultural cooperative. With 300 cooperators, Gesto shows that culture is a citizenship duty not exclusive to cultural producers or artists. Its headquarters is an open space to cultural groups and to artists that helped stimulate the crossing of experiences. With the project “Identidades”, Gesto collaborates with other Portuguese speaking countries for artistic exchange as Mozambique, Brasil and Cabo Verde.
