The oldest independent performing arts venue in Ljubljana, it has played an essential role in Slovene theatrical life since 1970.
Glej ("look") has launched a new generation of authors, directors and actors, and an aesthetic that has put Slovenia on the theatrical map through its success at international festivals.
It has also launched a playwriting festival that represented the second part of a bilateral exchange of directors, playwrights and theatre organisations between Slovenia and the USA.
