An organisation that caters for the special concerns of unions and similar associations whose members are engaged in mass media, entertainment and the arts.

Created in 1993, it is a sector of the Union Network International (UNI) and represents trade unions around the world, divided into two autonomous regions: Europe and a pan-American counterpart.

UNI Global Union is a clearing house for information, particularly regarding international productions or movement of employees across national borders. It is concerned with issues ranging from ownership, trade policy and technological change to copyright, piracy and censorship. It acts to exchange information about collective agreements, legal standards and practices, aiming to temper labour relations and practices with common minimums in consultation with employers and employees.
