Established during the Kosovo war by a multicultural community of musicians based in the Netherlands.
Touring through the Balkans, MwB worked with musicians from all ethnic groups, finding partners in Macedonia, Kosovo and Bosnia-Herzegovina. They organised festivals, children’s workshops, musicians’ exchanges and programmes to replace lost instruments. More recently, MwB has been making new connections in Israel, Palestine, USA, Cyprus and Uganda.
